Can Lone Star Freeze Dry recreate my bouquet? Why should I entrust my flowers to Lone Star Freeze Dry?We offer custom services for all of our customers. For example, we use the original ribbon from your flowers. Most of the time, the ribbon arrives at our studios wet, wrinkled, and stained. Ribbons are laundered and ironed, the re-tied before being placed in your keepsake. Any left over ribbon is returned to our customers. We know that the ribbons, pins, hankies or other attachments to your bouquet are sentimental to you as well as the flowers. In addition, we offer freeze dry service without design service, for our customers who choose to create their own keepsake. Customers who order shadowboxes are encouraged to design their own look, including providing us with sketches of how they would like their finished product to appear. We know you have a choice in flower preservation services. We strive for individualized customer service, because we know that each flower arrangement and bouquet holds a very significant place in the owner's life, otherwise, why spend the money on preservation??? How soon do I need to get my flowers to Lone Star Freeze Dry?We need to receive your flowers as soon as possible after the event. We receive flowers via personal delivery 7 days a week, pick up service at your special occasion, or overnight services such as FedEx, UPS, or the U.S. Postal Service. Generally, the U.S. Postal Service has the lowest rates. We can provide you with a floral shipping kit, which includes a cooler box, freezer packs, and detailed instructions on how to ship your flowers. Allow at least two weeks prior to your wedding to order and receive the floral shipping kit. We charge $25 to pick up flowers within a 30 mile radius of Waco, Texas. Other flowers may be picked up at your event based on a mileage charge. Customers located in the Bryan/College Station area can drop their bouquet off at Post Oak Flowers on Mondays for delivery to Waco in a refrigerated truck on Tuesdays. Can I safely ship my flowers to Lone Star Freeze Dry?Yes, we offer a floral shipping kit that comes complete with a cooler inside a corrugated box, freezer packs, and everything else you will need to safely ship your flowers to our studios. Please order two weeks prior to your event to allow enough time to receive your floral shipping kit. Expedited shipping is available for a fee. The wedding has already occurred. How can I ship my bouquet to Lone Star Freeze Dry?If the wedding has already taken place, you can use a styrofoam cooler to ship your flowers to us. Use blue ice packs, and using heavy duty tape, secure them to the bottom of the ice chest. Place tissue paper over the blue ice packs to form a nest for your bouquet. Place the bouquet in a plastic bag and place on top of the tissue paper. If possible, place the cooler in a corrugated cardboard box prior to shipping. Ship via next day delivery to:

There is no additional charge for the installment plan, and payments may be stretched out as far as 6 months after the wedding date. Do I have to make my frame selection prior to freeze drying?No. Frames may be selected after the flowers are freeze dried. Frames may be selected by scheduling an appointment with Lone Star Freeze Dry or using our website. Telephone and email consultations are available as well. Frames must be selected within 6-8 weeks of the event. How long does the process take?The freeze drying process takes two weeks in the freeze dry machine. Flowers received while the freeze dry machine is in the middle of a cycle are pre-treated and placed in holding freezers. Depending on the current volume of orders, most displays are complete within 16 to 18 weeks of receiving your order. How long will my flowers last?The freeze dry floral industry has only been in existence for the past 15 years, so we cannot be assured of a lifetime of enjoyment. However, freeze dried flowers protected by a dome, kept out of humidity and sun light, should give many, many years of enjoyment. Do all flowers freeze dry?Almost all flowers freeze dry beautifully, with the exception of bouvardia and gerber daisies. Roses, stephanotis, tulips, hydrangea, lisianthus, freesia, gardenias, and other flowers typically found in a bridal bouquet freeze dry beautifully. I have a silk bouquet. Can Lone Star Freeze Dry create a keepsake out of my flowers?Yes. Prices for silk arrangements are adjusted because freeze drying is not necessary. I've been married for years, can Lone Star Freeze Dry recreate my bouquet?Yes, we offer bouquet replication. We can recreate your bouquet using a picture from your wedding. This makes an excellent anniversary gift! If the original ribbon is still available, we will incorporate it into the keepsake.
