Policies

Receipt of your flowers is deemed acceptance of the following policies, unless notified otherwise.

  • A $75.00 deposit is required before flowers are freeze dried.

  • MasterCard and Visa are accepted, as well as personal checks and cash.

  • Deposits are not refundable.

  • All display containers must be selected six-eight weeks after the wedding date.  All efforts will be made to contact the customer 6 weeks after the event; however, final responsibility is that of the customer.

  • Once a display frame or tabletop container is selected, another payment to bring the balance paid up to 2/3 of the total due will be required.  For example, if you ordered a shipping kit and placed a $100 deposit, then you ordered a $300 shadowbox, you would be required to make another $100 payment towards your final balance when you order your frame.

  • The freeze drying process takes two weeks in the freeze dry machine.  Flowers received while the freeze dry machine is in the middle of a cycle are pre-treated and placed in holding freezers.  Depending on the current volume of orders, most displays are complete within 16 to 18 weeks of receiving your flowers. But, this is not guaranteed! This process requires a high level of skill, and takes time! The inability to predict an exact turnaround time is innate to the process itself.  Please read about entire process for detailed information.

  • Full payment must be received before flowers are shipped or picked up.

  • Due to limited space, a storage fee of $25 per month will be charged for designs completed and not picked up after 30 days.

  • Your order serves as consent to allow Lone Star Freeze Dry designers to create your display using their best judgment, within your selections.

  • Flowers not used in designs will be the property of Lone Star Freeze Dry.

  • As noted, flowers will change color slightly. The age and the condition of the flowers at the time we receive them plays a role in how well they preserve. Freeze drying a flower does not improve its appearance. It captures exactly what is there. Most colors darken after the water has been removed. Depending on the base shade, some peaches will show pink tinges. Reds could become burgundy or show some slightly pink hues. Pinks could become deeper pink or even mauve. Whites,  especially in roses, are ivory when fresh, therefore, they may become darker ivory or parchment. Over time, you may notice the colors mellow, taking on a shading reminiscent of Victorian hues.

  • Lone Star Freeze Dry cannot be responsible or held liable for flower spoilage due to acts of God (i.e., power outage) or mechanical failure beyond the control of the company.  In the event of flower spoilage due to acts of God or mechanical failure beyond the control of the company, deposits will be refunded, or flowers will be replaced free of charge.

  • Lone Star Freeze Dry reserves the right to refuse any order.

  • No refunds will be processed after 30 days of delivery.  The longevity of freeze dried flowers depends on how the flowers are taken care of, which is beyond the scope of our responsibility.

  • Replacement flowers may be used at wholesale cost usually between $2.00-$5.00 depending on flower type and size.

  • Liability is limited to the cost of the display, less deposit.

  • Flowers not claimed within 6 months after the wedding date are the property of Lone Star Freeze Dry. We do try to save as many as possible for as long as possible, But, this is not guaranteed!

  • If your keepsake is damaged during shipping, you must notify Lone Star Freeze Dry within 48 hours of receipt.  You are also responsible for keeping all original packing material so our shipper can conduct an inspection.
